My name is Sabrina Sanderson and I am a senior majoring in Elementary Education at the University of South Alabama. I am married to my husband Curtis and we have two daughters, Sophie-9 and Madeline-7. I truly feel that teaching is a calling. Tapping into how a child learns and being able to reach them, is the greatest feeling in the world. I love the challenges and diversity that teaching brings to life. My goal as a teacher is to reach children and touch their lives through the power of knowledge and education. I want students to leave my class knowing that I cared not just about what they learned in a book , but that I cared for who they are as a person and that they can reach for the stars and beyond. I look forward to continuing my journey by having my own class of students. I believe that change in the world starts with the educating of our young people. The greatest contribution anyone can make in life is through investing in the life of a child.
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove . . . . but the world maybe different because I was important in the life of a child." Kathy Davis
